Testicular Prosthesis Implantation Cost in Turkey

Testicular prosthesis implantation in Turkey typically costs around €2,500–€4,500 in 2026, depending on whether one or two prostheses are implanted, the implant model, surgical complexity, hospital and anaesthesia fees, and whether the procedure is performed alone or alongside another operation. A testicular prosthesis is primarily a cosmetic and reconstructive implant that restores the appearance and feel of a missing testicle; it does not produce sperm or testosterone.

Key takeaways
  • €2,500–€4,500 — Turkey planning range. The final quotation depends on the number and type of prostheses, surgical complexity and package inclusions.
  • One or two implants. Some patients need replacement of a single absent testicle, while bilateral absence can require two prostheses, increasing device and potentially procedure costs.
  • Cosmetic rather than functional replacement. A testicular prosthesis recreates scrotal appearance but does not restore the biological functions of the removed or absent testicle. Cleveland Clinic similarly describes the implant as filling the space and providing the appearance and feel of a testicle.
  • Additional surgery changes the price. Implantation may be performed after orchiectomy or as a later standalone procedure. Scar tissue, previous infection, radiotherapy or previous scrotal operations can make delayed reconstruction more complex.

What testicular prosthesis implantation costs in Türkiye

Expect €2,500 – €4,500, with most quotes near €3,500. That band assumes testicular prosthesis, surgeon and surgical-team fees, anaesthesia, operating theatre, routine pre-operative assessment, routine blood tests, standard surgical consumables, standard peri-operative medication, hospital/day-surgery facility, post-operative assessment, standard follow-up are inside the price. The sections below say what is inside it, what moves it, and what the same operation costs where you live.

Cost by type

The single biggest reason two quotes differ. Each band below is for the same procedure with a different technique or device class.

Torosa® Saline-Filled Testicular Prosthesis
€3,000 – €4,000
Testicular prosthesis implantation using the Coloplast Torosa® saline-filled prosthesis. The final quotation depends on implant size, unilateral versus bilateral placement, surgical setting and whether previous orchiectomy or scrotal surgery increases operative complexity.
About this device →
Testi10™ Testicular Prosthesis
€2,500 – €3,500
Testicular prosthesis implantation using the Rigicon Testi10™. Price depends on the number of implants required, selected prosthesis size, previous surgery and whether implantation is performed as a standalone or combined procedure. Bilateral implantation may cost more because two devices are required.
About this device →
Mentor Testicular Prosthesis
€2,500 – €3,500
Testicular prosthesis implantation using a Mentor prosthesis. The final price depends on prosthesis size, whether implantation is unilateral or bilateral, whether placement is immediate or delayed, and the complexity of previous scrotal surgery. A bilateral procedure requires two prostheses and may exceed this standard unilateral treatment band.

What moves the price

One versus two prostheses
Bilateral implantation requires two devices, so device cost is higher than for unilateral replacement.
Prosthesis model and size
Testicular prostheses are available in different designs and sizes. The selected device should be identified in the patient's quotation.
Immediate versus delayed implantation
A prosthesis can sometimes be inserted at the time of orchiectomy or later. A delayed operation represents a separate surgical episode.
Previous scrotal surgery
Previous orchiectomy or reconstructive surgery can change the anatomy and increase technical difficulty.
Scar tissue
Substantial scarring may make creation of an appropriate prosthesis pocket more difficult.
Previous infection
A history of infection can affect timing and surgical planning. Active infection may require treatment before implantation is considered.
Additional procedures
Combining prosthesis implantation with orchiectomy or another urological/reconstructive procedure changes the total treatment cost.
Hospital requirements
Additional hospitalization, investigations or specialist input beyond the standard uncomplicated pathway can increase the final bill.

More about the cost of testicular prosthesis implantation

Testicular prosthesis implantation places an artificial testicle within the scrotum to restore symmetry and appearance after loss or absence of a testicle. It can be considered following orchiectomy for conditions such as testicular cancer or torsion, following trauma, or in selected congenital circumstances.

The prosthesis is not a functional replacement for testicular tissue. It does not produce testosterone, sperm or fertility. Its purpose is principally cosmetic/reconstructive.

Implantation may be performed during the same surgical episode as removal of a testicle or as a delayed procedure. Timing is individualized because infection, wound condition, previous treatment and patient preference can affect whether immediate placement is appropriate.

Potential complications include infection, bleeding or hematoma, pain, prosthesis displacement, extrusion and dissatisfaction with position, size or cosmetic result. Revision or removal may therefore occasionally be necessary.

Common questions about cost

How much does a testicular prosthesis cost in Turkey?
A reasonable planning range is approximately €2,500–€4,500 in 2026, depending on whether one or two implants are required, the prosthesis selected and surgical complexity. The published Turkey range should ultimately reflect genuine quotations.
Is the testicular implant included in the price?
It should be. Patients should ask the provider to identify whether the quotation includes one or two prostheses and which model is planned.
Does a testicular prosthesis restore testosterone?
No. A testicular prosthesis is cosmetic/reconstructive and does not produce testosterone.
Can a testicular prosthesis restore fertility?
No. The prosthesis does not produce sperm and cannot restore fertility by itself.
Can the implant be inserted at the same time as orchiectomy?
Sometimes. Immediate implantation may be possible in selected patients, while others undergo delayed placement. The appropriate timing depends on the clinical circumstances.
Does bilateral implantation cost more?
Usually, because two prostheses are required rather than one and the surgical requirements may differ.
Is hospital accommodation included?
The standard surgical facility/stay specified in the treatment quotation can be included. Hotel accommodation for medical travel is a separate package component and should be explicitly identified.
Are flights included?
Normally not. International flights are generally purchased separately.
Can insurance cover a testicular prosthesis?
Potentially. Because testicular prosthesis implantation can be reconstructive rather than purely cosmetic, some public healthcare systems or insurers may provide coverage when eligibility criteria are satisfied.
Is future revision included?
Normally not. A future procedure for infection, displacement, replacement, removal or another complication is generally separate unless the written package explicitly provides otherwise.

How we produce these figures

Our 2026 Turkey price range is based on testicular prosthesis implantation quotations and package prices reviewed by Andrology Abroad on 6 September 2026. Internal commercial pricing is kept separate from independent medical evidence. International comparisons should use testicular-prosthesis-specific private prices, official healthcare tariffs or reimbursement data. A device-only price, hospital fee or reimbursement amount should not be presented as though it were a complete private surgical package. Prices are presented as ranges because the number of implants, device selection, immediate versus delayed placement, previous scrotal surgery and additional reconstructive requirements can change the final quotation.

  • Every band on this page was entered by our team from a named source, with the date it was checked. A figure without a source and a date does not appear.
  • Bands, never single prices. The only single figures are medians of real quotes.
  • Home-country prices are converted to euros at the rate and date noted on each row, not live.
  • Prices change. We re-review them and show the date; a page more than eighteen months old hides its comparison until it is checked again.
  • Nothing here is a quote. Your itemised proposal, with the device named and the exclusions written down, is the only figure that applies to you.
