The terms suprapubic liposuction, suprapubic lipectomy, fat-pad removal and escutcheonectomy are sometimes used loosely online, but they do not necessarily describe the same operation.

Suprapubic liposuction removes subcutaneous fat through small access incisions. It is generally most appropriate when excess fat is the principal problem and the overlying skin has adequate elasticity.

An escutcheonectomy is an open excisional procedure. It removes excess suprapubic fat and redundant tissue and may form part of reconstruction for adult acquired buried penis. Consequently, the surgeon may need to address not only fat but also skin position, scarring, penile exposure and fixation of the reconstructed tissues.

This distinction explains the wide €2,500–€6,500 Türkiye band used on this page. The low end represents limited suprapubic contouring; the upper end represents substantially more extensive open fat-pad removal or reconstruction.

Does fat-pad removal increase penile length?

Suprapubic fat removal does not lengthen the corporal bodies of the penis. Instead, reducing tissue covering the penile base can expose a greater proportion of the existing shaft.
