Key takeaways
  • €3,000–€5,000 — recommended 2026 Türkiye planning band for primary penile plication surgery for Peyronie’s disease.
  • >85% — the EAU reports complete straightening in more than 85% of patients overall after tunical-shortening procedures.
  • 1–1.5 cm — penile shortening of this magnitude has been reported in 22–69% of patients across studies of shortening procedures, although clinically significant shortening varies by technique.
  • ~10% — recurrent curvature and penile hypoesthesia are described as uncommon, around 10% overall, while postoperative erectile dysfunction risk is generally low after shortening procedures.
  • 3–6 months stable — the EAU states that surgery should be performed when Peyronie’s disease is stable; stability is generally described as 3–6 months without progression, typically after more than 9–12 months from disease onset.

What penile plication surgery costs in Türkiye

Expect €3,000 – €5,000, with most quotes near €4,000. That band assumes urologist/andrologist surgeon fee, penile plication procedure, operating theatre, anaesthesia, routine pre-operative blood tests, standard surgical consumables, hospital admission / day surgery, standard postoperative medication, initial postoperative checks, standard follow-up are inside the price. The sections below say what is inside it, what moves it, and what the same operation costs where you live.

Cost by type

The single biggest reason two quotes differ. Each band below is for the same procedure with a different technique or device class.

Simple penile plication
€3,000 – €4,000
Straightening is achieved using plication sutures on the longer, convex side without incising or excising the tunica albuginea. Pure plication techniques are generally simpler than incision/excision techniques.
Source: uroweb.org
16-dot penile plication
€3,000 – €4,500
A plication technique using multiple tunical suture points to straighten the penis without grafting. The EAU includes 16-dot/mod16-dot among established tunical-shortening techniques.
Source: uroweb.org
Nesbit procedure
€3,499 – €5,000
The Nesbit technique removes an elliptical segment of tunica albuginea from the convex side to correct curvature. It is a tunical-shortening procedure rather than a pure suture-only plication.
Source: uroweb.org
Yachia procedure
€3,500 – €5,000
Uses a longitudinal tunical incision closed transversely to shorten the convex side and correct curvature.
Source: uroweb.org
Revision penile plication
€4,000 – €5,500
Previous plication or other penile surgery can make dissection and correction more complex. Revision cases should be individually assessed and may fall outside the standard primary-surgery band.

What moves the price

Plication technique
Pure suture plication, 16-dot plication, Nesbit and Yachia techniques use different surgical approaches. The EAU notes that no single shortening technique has demonstrated overall superiority, so selection depends on anatomy, surgeon and patient factors.
Curvature severity
More extensive or multiplanar curvature can require additional plication points or a different reconstructive strategy. Severe curvature can also make a lengthening/grafting procedure more appropriate than plication.
Hourglass or hinge deformity
The EAU recommends tunical shortening primarily when complex deformities such as hourglass or hinge narrowing are absent. Complex deformity can require a different or additional reconstructive technique.
Revision surgery
Previous plication, grafting or other penile surgery can introduce scar tissue and make surgical planning more complex.
Additional circumcision
Depending on surgical access and foreskin condition, circumcision may be performed with the operation. The EAU notes that degloving with associated circumcision has traditionally been used, although non-degloving techniques also exist.
Additional hospital night
An uncomplicated plication may require limited hospitalization, while additional observation increases facility costs.
Erectile dysfunction
Significant ED that does not respond to medication can change the operation completely. The EAU recommends penile prosthesis implantation, with additional straightening when required, rather than isolated plication for Peyronie's disease with medication-refractory ED.

More about the cost of penile plication surgery

What is penile plication surgery?

Penile plication is a group of surgical techniques used to correct penile curvature by shortening the longer, convex side of the penis rather than lengthening the shorter side.

The EAU groups these operations under tunical-shortening procedures. Techniques include simple plication, 16-dot plication, Nesbit, modified Nesbit and Yachia procedures.

Pure plication techniques use sutures without cutting or excising the tunica albuginea. The classic Nesbit operation instead involves an elliptical excision of the tunica opposite the point of maximum curvature. Yachia uses a longitudinal incision that is closed transversely.

Who is plication generally suitable for?

According to the 2026 EAU guideline, tunical-shortening procedures are generally considered for men who have:

  • stable Peyronie's disease;

  • adequate penile length;

  • adequate erectile rigidity;

  • less-severe curvature;

  • no significant hourglass or hinge deformity.

The EAU recommends surgery only when Peyronie's disease is stable and the deformity compromises sexual intercourse.

How successful is penile plication?

Across tunical-shortening techniques, the EAU reports complete straightening in more than 85% of patients. Individual published series summarized by the guideline report straightening rates of approximately 88.5% for Nesbit, 97.6% for modified Nesbit, 97.1% for Yachia, 95.5% for 16-dot/mod16-dot, and 96.9% for simple plication, although these are non-comparable observational datasets rather than randomized head-to-head trials.

Therefore, I would not advertise one technique as having a “97% success rate.” The more defensible patient-facing statement is that straightening exceeds 85% overall in published shortening-procedure series, with outcomes varying by technique, patient selection and study.

Does penile plication shorten the penis?

It can.

Because plication corrects curvature by shortening the longer side, loss of length is its principal trade-off.

The EAU reports 1–1.5 cm of shortening in 22–69% of patients across published studies, although clinically significant shortening and patient perception vary considerably.

This is one reason preoperative penile length should be measured and documented.

Why is plication cheaper than grafting?

Plication generally avoids graft material and does not create the tunical defect required for plaque incision/excision and grafting.

The EAU describes pure plication techniques as relatively simpler procedures. Grafting is generally reserved for selected men with severe curvature, inadequate length or complex hourglass/hinge deformities and preserved erectile function.

That additional reconstruction is why grafting typically occupies a higher cost band.

Why isn't a penile implant included?

A penile prosthesis is not routinely required for isolated penile plication in a man with satisfactory erectile function.

For Peyronie's disease accompanied by ED that does not respond adequately to pharmacotherapy, the treatment pathway changes. The EAU recommends penile prosthesis implantation, with modelling, plication, incision or grafting added when required to achieve straightening.

That should be priced under your separate Penile Prosthesis + Peyronie's Correction cost page rather than this one.

Common questions about cost

How much does penile plication surgery cost in Türkiye in 2026?
Penile plication surgery in Türkiye typically costs approximately €3,000–€5,000 in 2026. The final quotation depends on the plication technique, curvature complexity, anesthesia, hospital arrangements and whether additional corrective surgery is needed.
How much does the Nesbit procedure cost in Türkiye?
A reasonable 2026 planning range for a Nesbit procedure in Türkiye is approximately €3,500–€5,000. The operation differs from pure plication because a portion of tunica albuginea is excised to shorten the convex side and straighten the penis.
Does the €3,000–€5,000 price include a penile implant?
No penile implant is normally required for isolated plication in a man with adequate erectile function. If medication-refractory erectile dysfunction requires a prosthesis, the operation and price move into the penile implant with Peyronie's correction category.
Is 16-dot plication more expensive than standard plication?
Not necessarily. Technique is only one price factor. Hospital, surgeon, anesthesia, curvature complexity and whether additional correction is required can have a greater effect on the final quotation.
Does penile plication make the penis shorter?
It can. Plication straightens the penis by shortening its longer side. The EAU reports 1–1.5 cm shortening in 22–69% of patients across published shortening-procedure studies, although the amount and clinical significance vary.
How successful is penile plication?
The EAU reports complete penile straightening in more than 85% of patients overall after tunical-shortening procedures. Published outcomes vary between techniques and studies, and no individual technique has been proven superior overall.
Can plication correct severe Peyronie's curvature?
Patient selection matters. Plication is generally favored when penile length and erectile rigidity are adequate, curvature is less severe and complex hourglass or hinge deformity is absent. Severe or complex deformity may make a lengthening/grafting procedure more appropriate.
When can Peyronie's plication surgery be performed?
The EAU recommends surgery only once Peyronie's disease is stable and the deformity compromises sexual intercourse. Stability is generally assessed by lack of progression for 3–6 months, usually after at least 9–12 months from disease onset.
Are hotel and transfers included in penile plication packages in Türkiye?
They may be, particularly in international-patient packages, but they should not be assumed. The written quotation should separately identify surgery, anesthesia, hospital care, hotel, transfers, medication and follow-up.
Can penile curvature come back after plication?
Yes. Recurrent curvature is possible, although the EAU describes recurrence after tunical-shortening procedures as uncommon, around 10% overall. Operating before the disease is stable can contribute to recurrence.

How we produce these figures

Prices were reviewed on 23 September 2026. We separated simple plication, 16-dot plication, Nesbit, Yachia and revision surgery rather than combining penile plication with grafting or penile prosthesis surgery. The €3,000–€5,000 Türkiye band reflects current private-market planning figures for primary plication surgery. Clinical indications, technique definitions and outcome figures were checked against the 2026 European Association of Urology Sexual and Reproductive Health Guideline. International comparisons are dated planning ranges rather than individual quotations

  • Every band on this page was entered by our team from a named source, with the date it was checked. A figure without a source and a date does not appear.
  • Bands, never single prices. The only single figures are medians of real quotes.
  • Home-country prices are converted to euros at the rate and date noted on each row, not live.
  • Prices change. We re-review them and show the date; a page more than eighteen months old hides its comparison until it is checked again.
  • Nothing here is a quote. Your itemised proposal, with the device named and the exclusions written down, is the only figure that applies to you.
