About the ZSI 475
The ZSI 475 is a two-piece inflatable penile implant made by the Swiss company Zephyr Surgical. In a two-piece implant, the pump and the fluid reservoir are combined into a single unit in the scrotum — there is no separate reservoir placed behind the abdominal wall.
How it works
Two cylinders in the penis connect to a combined pump-and-reservoir in the scrotum. Squeezing that unit inflates the cylinders; a release valve lets the fluid flow back. Because everything sits in the penis and scrotum, no space is needed inside the abdomen.
